Barbara Nicolls Council Member
Since moving to the Central Coast from the Bay Area in 2000 I have volunteered at many Grover Beach Parks & Recreation events. I am a Board Member & librarian at Grover Beach Community Library, an all-volunteer non-profit community service organization. I was a Grover Beach Police Volunteer for a year before having to resign when I took a seat on the City Council.
Now, in my third year as a Grover Beach Council Member, I represent that agency on the following Boards of Director in San Luis Obispo County: Community Action Partners SLO (CAPSLO), Friends of Prado Day Center (40 Prado), South County Transit, Arroyo Grande/Grover Beach Chamber of Commerce, and am the alternate Director at Five Cities Fire Authority and South SLO County Sanitation District.
It is my pleasure to be a member of HomeShareSLO's Program Advisory Board . Finding a solution to the lack of affordable housing in our County has been on my personal agenda for several years, and I sincerely believe HomeShareSLO will be a huge part of that solution.
