Pre-qualifying Checklist

Are you ready to turn your extra rooms into cash? We'll walk you through the steps to successful home sharing here.

Conserving resources by sharing. Building community and reducing isolation. Living mindfully with less impact. Finding creative solutions to rising housing costs. Acknowledging that humans are social animals and do best with regular face-to-face interaction. The desire to stay in the home as we age. These are some of the factors driving the home sharing trend among milennials and Baby Boomers alike. Too many of us live alone, in homes too large for our needs, with expenses beyond our means. Affordable housing projects take years to approve and fund, and are expensive to build. HomeShareSLO, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, can help bridge the gap between needs and available resource by facilitating home share matches and adding affordable housing units.
